Our family gets together every September for a beach weekend. This year we returned to the Sirata. We chose to stay on the resort grounds for the weekend. On Friday night Pepe and Grandma hosted us at the on-site restaurant (Thanks!). After a very nice dinner we returned to their room and celebrated Ed's birthday. The next morning we awoke to rain. We were determined not to let the rain spoil our day. After a bit of arm twisting Twin Mom convinced us to splash around in the rain. Later that day while the twins took a nap the big folks paddleboarded in the gulf with the manatees and dolphins. We had a nice visit with the Carlson side of the family who spent time in the water with us and even hosted the pizza party that night (Thanks Uncle Karl!). Later that evening we celebrated Cousin Carter and Aunt Heather's Birthdays. Cousin Carter got a Huffy Bike from Grandma and Pepe! The weather was beautiful on Sunday morning so we splashed away in the pool before departing. Grandma sent us off with sandwiches which were yummy. We can't wait for our return next year!

What a fun time you must have had! It’s obvious by all of the smiling faces that the little bit of rain didn’t dampen anyone’s experiences. (No pun intended!) That underwater photography is outstanding! Great job on all of the photos. Love always. . .
Expectation Formula: Floridian = beaches *Parties *Photos>Fun Times.
The rain was E (Residual) in the formula. It did not ruin the fun times (omitted r).
I enjoyed the pics; cannot wait to catch up with a beach weekend some times in the future.
That was so much fun to live it all over again in all the photos. We had such a blast! Rain never slows this family down.
What a great post!!! I really enjoyed seeing all of the pictures & the videos are really fun too! The kids will have to teach me how to swim so I can get in the water & take some pictures 🙂
What a fantastic time we all had. We just relived the great weekend through 410 pictures. How many more days until next September??? Thanks Mom and Dad for starting such a memorable tradition. May it go on forever.

So nice to catch up with your beautiful family after a lost address- belated Happy Birthday, Chuck. It is such fun to see the interaction with the twins- H & K are quite the swimmers.
